A First Birthday Party For Our Goofy Dog

I would never have imagined I’d throw a birthday party for a dog. However, I DO love a themed birthday party, I LOVE photographing details, and I ADORE our dog. Plus, these aren’t usual times and we have to use any excuse to celebrate. Am I right?!?
Biscuit joined our family in October and he’s been wreaking havoc ever since. He’s a gorgeous tri-color Bernedoodle which is a mix of Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog. Our little buddy is FULL of energy and was a ferocious biter when he was tiny. He still has play-biting problems but we’re working on teaching him that we’re in charge and he’s not the boss of the house. Despite all of his quirks, I wouldn’t send him back even though I joke about it. Biscuit Bernie Faulk is a good dog and he’s got some great qualities. He’s never met a person or animal he doesn’t love, and he’s full of cuddles!
For Biscuit’s first birthday, the girls made him a doggy birthday cake covered in whipped cream and blueberries. We gifted him a few more zillion dog toys that will hopefully last more than a few minutes (he’s an aggressive chewer). Blue and white party decorations were hung, and I ordered him a handsome bow to wear from Buffalo Dog Boutique on Etsy. I think he enjoyed himself.
